Dr. Agus Haryanto is Director of Soedirman Center for Global Studies (Laboratory of International Relations, Jenderal Soedirman University. He is also Secretary General at Association of International Relations Sciences in Indonesia now. He has published three books and more than ten journal articles.

Indonesia's position in the South China Sea conflict is a debate among international relations reviewers. Some observers say Indonesia has a dilemma in the dispute because Indonesia has overlapping claims in Natuna waters. While some observers say, Indonesia is a neutral country in this conflict, even trying to be a mediator. In carrying out this role, Indonesia has several difficulties. In this lecture, we will discuss the position and various initiatives of Indonesia in the southern China sea dispute.
